Rutherford County NC Lions clubs

 

Members of the Chase Lions Club have been putting together a calendar for years that will highlight an individual and their family members birthdays and anniversary dates on a custom level as a fundraiser for their community service activities which include meals for veterans and first responders and a Christmas party for the visually impaired in their community. If you live in the Chase community, this club will welcome you as a volunteer!

Lake Lure Lion Club members provide vision exams and eyeglasses for those who qualify through need in their local community. The club provides scholarships for high school seniors and conducts two golf tournaments per year (May and August) at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure to benefit the community. Club members conduct quarterly environmental roadside trash pickup projects. On the first Sunday of December, the Lake Lure Lions along with the Rutherfordton and Chase Lions Clubs provide a holiday luncheon, entertainment, and gifts to visually impaired persons of Rutherford County.   If you live in the Lake Lure community, this club will welcome you as a volunteer!

The Rutherfordton Lions Club keeps busy with their various service projects financially assisting community residents with needed cataract surgery, providing hearing aids in addition to providing free vision exams and glasses for those in need. The club also does community vision screenings. Club members support several local charitable events for the visually impaired, including their annual Christmas party which their club began in 1970. If you live in the Rutherfordton community, this club will welcome you as a volunteer!
