Since 1967, Camp Dogwood for the blind and visually impaired has been a beacon of service to citizens from all over North Carolina. The North Carolina Lions VIP Fishing Tournament is believed to be the largest gathering of visually impaired for the largest event of its kind in the world. 350 visually impaired persons, 130 sighted guests, and 300 volunteers come to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for three days of recreation, fellowship, and independent living workshops designed to help visually impaired persons (VIPs). additional information visit the NC Lions VIP Fishing Tournament website.
